SMART FOOD

What if tomato can talk to cucumber in the refrigerator? What if refrigerator can talk to our phone then to near by grocery store? What if we have more transparency of where each ingredient comes from?

PROLOGUE

Summer of 2013, my two coworkers (UX Designers) and I were eating lunch at work. As usual, we began our conversation by talking about what we packed for lunch, what we did over the weekend, what we cooked...then we started talking about how grocery shopping and cooking for one person is challenging. Or even often forgetting about if I have enough milk or eggs in my fridge when I am at the grocery standing in front of the dairy section.

Then I asked my coworkers "What if tomato can talk to cucumber in the refrigerator? What if they let me know that I can make...bolognese if I buy carrot? What if it generates recipe, order an appropriate portion of food, or even connects to my health monitoring and doctor?"

Then we started white boarding these ideas.

In 2013 summer.

We started talking about connectivity, Internet of Things, RFID, and smart home.
